PoemCity is the Kellogg-Hubbard Library’s annual celebration of National Poetry Month each April. Started in 2010, PoemCity displays poems by Vermonters in storefront windows in downtown Montpelier and organizes a community calendar of poetry events for the month.
Welcome to PoemCity 2025!
This year’s calendar is filled with incredible events throughout April, bringing together poets, storytellers, and the community to honor the power of words. Over 300 poems will be displayed around downtown Montpelier, transforming our city into a poetry anthology for all to enjoy!
Whether you attend an event, stumble upon a poem downtown, or host your own gathering, we invite you to celebrate poetry in whatever way speaks to you. Dive into the full calendar below and join us in making PoemCity 2025 an unforgettable experience.
