Journey of an Artist
By Deborah Bogart
On display in the Kitzmiller Fiction Room the month of June
This is the story of one person’s journey to deepen her relationship to color. The paintings you will see in this show are in chronological order different periods of this exploration including color with no form, color from nature, and color from archetypes.
Deborah was a teacher for 47 years. She taught Head Start, Public Elementary, Homeschoolers, Waldorf schools, Service
Learning at the Department of Education, Branching Out at a Public High School and many teacher training programs. She never had time to pursue her own art. In her retirement she devoted herself to the arts, watercolor, calligraphy, oil painting and pastel. Color and Light are her favorite realms to explore.
