Head shot of Tim DonovanBackground: Some months after moving from Iowa to Vermont in 1976, Tim began what would become a four-decade career in Vermont public higher education culminating in eight years as President of CCV and six years at Vermont State Colleges before retiring in 2014. Throughout, Tim and Mary have lived and raised their family in Montpelier.

Hobbies and Interests: As he enters his final year as Library trustee, he also serves on the board of the McClure Foundation whose work envisions “a Vermont where college and career training drive equity and resilience.” He has a keen interest in personal technology and his family’s genealogy. Plus, being actively present in the life of a young grandchild keeps him “busy enough.”

Recommendations: Tim reads a mix of “brain candy” and other contemporary literature – recently loving the LOL books of Caimh McDonnell’s six-book “Dublin Trilogy.” And, then, there’s always next year for the Red Sox.
