Celebrate the Moon with Us at Kellogg-Hubbard Library!

Join us for an evening of lunar fun! On Monday, September 29 from 6:00–8:00 pm, we’re celebrating International Observe the Moon Night with activities, experts, and sky-watching for all ages.

Hands-On Activities:

  • Ask questions of scientists and space enthusiasts

  • Learn moon phases with Oreo cookies

  • Learn how high you could jump on the Moon

  • Sign up to send your name around the Moon

  • Chat with Dark Sky VT about light pollution

  • Telescope viewing with the Vermont Astronomical Society

Featured Talks:

  • 6:15 pm – Gregory Caicco (Dark Sky VT): “Dark and Deep”: The Promise of Vermont’s Night Skies

  • 7:00 pm – Patrick Whelley (NASA-funded scientist): What it takes to get to the Moon
